The Holiday Season is Upon Us!

Thankful on Thanksgiving:

The Mostly Mozart Festival only takes place during the summer, but during the rest of the year our members perform with various ensembles in Lincoln Center and beyond. We're all very thankful to be back at work right now after not being able to perform indoors due to the pandemic last year. As the holiday season kicks off, we just wanted to share with you what we've been up to.

Some of our Mostly Mozart members also perform regularly with the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, both as members and associate members. We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Met Opera Associate Members: violists Izia Weyman (far left) and Chihiro Allen (center), and violinist Sophia Kessinger (second from left)

Happy Hanukkah!!!:

It's the first night of Hanukkah, and our Principal Violist Shmuel Katz has made another wonderful arrangement; this time, the theme from "Judas Maccabeus" of G.F. Handel written for 3 violas. Enjoy!

The Nutcracker Returns:

It's also officially Nutcracker Season at New York City Ballet. There was no Nutcracker last year so everyone is very excited to be back!

...and our violinists Michael Roth and Robert Chausow (holding the violin backwards) remind us there's always time to have a bit of fun.
